We support Gulfstar Airways; a members’ only club with scheduled flights using Embraer 135 & 145 aircraft. The company is lead by an aviation experienced team with military, commercial airline, corporate and on-demand charter experience. Pilots:

Based in Long Beach, Burbank, San Jose and Oakland.

Captain –

Description & Minimum Requirements:
    • Airline Transport Pilots license
    • 1st class Medical
    • FCC Radio License
    • 3,000+ Flight hours fixed wing
    • 1,000 flight hours Multi-Engine as Pilot In Command
    • Previous jet type in any jet with 200 flight hours as PIC in that aircraft
    • 1,000 flight hours Cross Country
    • 300 night
    • 150 flight hours actual instrument
    • No more than 300 instructor credit towards the 3,000
    • Valid Passport, Clean Driving record and PRIA background
    • Able to properly recognize and distinguish colors
    • Note: We do not accept simulator or hood time in the above calculations.
    Job Description: The Captain is at all times the final authority and directly responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the flight. Prior to each flight, he/she is responsible for all available information concerning that flight, including, but not limited to, determine that the crew is legally certified, adequately rested and in uniform. Checked current airworthiness, DMI, maintenance release (if required) weather reports and forecasts, Aircraft Preflight Inspection and Fuel requirements, Destination and alternate airport information and NAV-AIDS, Current aircraft documents, Weight and Balance required current navigation charts on board. He/she is the host and directs the crew to give the best service to club members.

First Officer –

Description & Minimum Requirements:
    • Airline Transport Pilots license
    • 1st class Medical
    • FCC Radio License
    • 1,500 Flight hours fixed wing
    • 200 flight hours Multi-Engine as Pilot In Command
    • Previous jet type or High Altitude Jet training course at FSI or CAE
    • 350 flight hours Cross Country
    • 200 night
    • 50 flight hours actual instrument
    • No more than 100 instructor credit towards the 1,500
    • Valid Passport, Clean Driving record and PRIA background
    • Able to properly recognize and distinguish colors.
    • Previous flight experience with crew is a PLUS
    • Note: We do not accept simulator or hood time in the above calculations.
    Job Description: The First Officer is administratively responsible to the Chief Pilot and functionally responsible to the Captain on the flight to which assigned for his/her conduct and attention to duty. He/she shall be familiar with at least, the GOM, flight procedures, letters of instructions, bulletins and all regulations pertaining to the operation to which he/she is assigned. He/she is also responsible to the captain for the mechanical pre-flight acceptance of the aircraft and for the safe and efficient operations of the aircraft components and equipment over which the first officer has control. The First Officer must be familiar with taxiways at destination airports, weather for day loading and retrieving members luggage. He/she is responsible passenger safety and evacuation when Cabin Attendant is not on board.

Flight Attendant:

Based in Long Beach, Burbank, San Jose and Oakland.
Description & Minimum Requirements:
The Flight Attendant performs or assists in the performance of all Inflight safety, customer service and cabin preparation duties, along with communicating and cooperating with the cockpit and ground crews, as a member of the team. The Flight Attendant will demonstrate the Gulfstar Airways core values and conduct themselves with integrity, enthusiasm, professionalism and a customer-first attitude, while striving for operational excellence.
    • Must be at least 23 years of age
    • Must have proper authorization to work inline with Immigration Reform Act.
    • Will be required to successfully complete company Inflight Training
    • High school diploma
    • Valid Passport and Clean Driving record
    • Must have 20/40 correctable vision in each eye
    • Uses PC and ipad skills daily in order to perform duties
    • Able to properly recognize and distinguish colors.
    • ­Must be comfortable with public speaking and addressing a large group of people
    • Must have a minimum height of 5’1” (without shoes)
    • Required to communicate clearly and effectively in English; this includes both written and verbally
    • Must read and comprehend verbal and written instructions and procedures
    • Outdoor exposure to weather
    • Alternative work schedules (shift work)
    • Must have ability to work days, nights, holidays, weekends
    • Must maintain a 3rd class medical from an AME
    • Must have ability to push/pull/lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
    • Must possess the physical strength to reach and operate all emergency equipment and exits
Additional:
  • One year previous flight attendant experience preferred
  • Two years direct customer service experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in aircraft aisles and galleys, standing, reaching (extended in front and to the side of the body and above the head), walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, working in a cramped or awkward positions, squatting, and sitting for extended periods
  • Height and weight proportionate to maintain a professional appearance; body size cannot exceed specific aircraft dimensions.
  • Must have the ability to walk and fit comfortably down the aircraft aisle, fit quickly through any exit, and fit in to the jump seat and harness without any modifications
  • Must have ability to hear and respond to customer and crew communications in situations with high background noise.

Concierge:

Based in Long Beach, Burbank, San Jose, Santa Barbara, Scottsdale AZ, Las Vegas, NV and Oakland.
Description & Minimum Requirements:
Description: A Gulfstar concierge serves as a personal assistant for members by greeting them as they arrive on our flight and as they come into the terminal for departure. They are knowledgeable about the aircraft the members fly on and are generally very educated about the surrounding area. (Restaurants & Hotels). The concierge is the Business Card of the airline and must always be cordial and alert to member’s needs. The concierge is someone who truly enjoys working with the public in a variety of situations. She/He needs to not only be well-organized, but also have the ability to multitask while keeping up with details for many members — all at once. Those with calm, easy-going natures do best, as some members may arrive at the airport stressed and can be impatient. “The concierge makes the impossible possible.” Primary Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provides exceptional, courteous, friendly five-star service to members and guests.
  • Provide reservation service for ground transportation.
  • Transporting members luggage (on and off the plane)
  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information on the flight schedule.
  • Provide destination weather.
  • Interface with other departments in handling members special requests.
  • Recommend changes that could improve the concierge operations.
  • Promotes positive member relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Perform related duties as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Must have ability to push/pull/lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and be able to push, pull, or move a baggage cart.
    • Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well-groomed manner.
    • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Work effectively with fellow employees, members, guests, and management.
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • High School diploma.
    • Clean California driving record
    • Able to properly recognize and distinguish colors.
    • Height and weight proportionate to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Preferred:
    • At least two years of previous hotel experience, either at the Front Desk or Concierge.
    • Working knowledge in all aspects of Concierge.
    • Excellent iPad/computer skills.
    • Experience working with MS Office products.
    • Language skills in addition to English a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus.
    • Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
    • Have a valid passport.

Director of Maintenance:

Based in Los Angeles County: Responsible for the administration and technical control of all aircraft maintenance activities within the department. Ensure that maintenance performed meets safety and certificate standards. Coordinates responsibility with Quality Assurance to ensure that all policies, procedures and maintenance activities comply with company and FAA standards and procedures. Provide aircraft status and downtime reports to Flight Department Schedulers. In this position you must be familiar with company G.O.M. and G.M.M. and F.A.R. Parts 25, 43, 91, 135 regulations. Accountable to Director of Operations and to the President of the company.
General Summary:
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Directs and supervises all personnel assigned to maintenance department.
  2. Oversee and Inspect all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  3. Complete internal company forms and Log Book entries in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain close liaison with PMI and PAI at F.A.A. office on maintenance matters.
  5. Works closely with Director of Operations on AAIP, MEL, General Maintenance and RVSM manuals.
  6. Ensure that all aircraft engine, airframe and component maintenance is performed as prescribed IAW applicable airframe maintenance manual, component manufacturer’s maintenance and overhaul procedures, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and applicable FAA Regulations.
  7. Coordinates schedules and interfaces with Director of Operations, Dispatchers and Chief Pilot as required to develop and maintain budgets, timelines, and work schedules.
  8. Ensures proposed work scopes can be accomplished in accordance with approved data, and in the specified timeframe, in an economical and profitable manner.
  9. Monitor manpower requirements, make staffing recommendations as necessary.
  10. Serves on the Safety committee and ensures personnel safety and aircraft airworthiness is the primary objectives in all activities.
  11. Daily attendance is an essential to this position.
  12. Review all maintenance hours and bills for accuracy.
  13. Provide estimates for maintenance as required.
Education:
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • 2 years of Vocational or Technical Training in an aviation maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance Management or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Previous Director of Maintenance under FAR 135 and meet the requirements of FAR 119.71(e).
Experience, skill, and knowledge:
  • Current Airframe and Power Plant ratings under FAR 65. 71 for a minimum of seven (7) years.
  • Must have I.A. Authorization.
  • Worked in a technical capacity in aircraft maintenance, repair, modification environment for a minimum of five (5) years.
  • Worked in a supervisory capacity in an aircraft maintenance repair, modification environment for a minimum of three (3) years.
  • Good working knowledge of pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations and related material.
  • Knowledgeable in technical and financial requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, repair, and modifications.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to use a computer and Microsoft Windows Software for data entry, project tracking, and preparation of reports, proposals, and planning documents.
  • Embraer 135/145, Legacy jets, Gulfstream, Falcon, Hawker and King Air experience preferred. Will train on Embraer.
Working conditions:
  • Exposed to typical factory aircraft maintenance conditions such as engine noise, riveting, dust and chemical fumes none of which to the extent of being intolerable. Hearing, vision and breathing protection provided in appropriate areas.
  • Working areas naturally ventilated and mechanically heated when required.
  • Work may be performed while exposed to elements of weather.
  • Travel required.
Physical & mental conditions:
  • Requires lifting of items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on occasional basis.
  • Requires physical effort associated with standing, walking, sitting.
  • Requires the ability to crawl, twist, bend, squat, climb to some degree in performance of job duties.
  • Requires the use of either or both hands for handling machinery and power tools.
